Guild Castles
My home is my castle
Any guild level 7 or higher can build its own fortress. In a Guild Castle, guild members can meet to plan adventures, share stories or prepare against attack. To build a Guild Castle, every guild member must contribute resources. Once a guild pays the price in terms of gold, ore and wood, the Guild Castle Administrator in Varanas will grant permission for construction to commence, and the Guild Castle will be built immediately.
The strength of a group
A Guild Castle lies in an instanced area and can be reached via the Guild Castle Administrator in Varanas and via other NPCs. The guild decides whether its fortress should be open to visitors. Each Guild Castle offers a number of features and plenty of space for small communal rooms or large gathering areas. Rooms can be outfitted by guild members, but furniture placed in a Guild Castle is for decoration only and will lose any previous bonus effects. Guild leaders decide which guild members are allowed to place and move furniture.
A Guild Castle also has a central vault for all members to use. Initially, the guild has 100 slots in which treasures and resources can be stored. Guild leaders control the use of the vault and decide which guild members have access to the slots.
It is also possible to acquire practical items for a Guild Castle in exchange for resources. Upgrades - such as gates - secure castle entrances, and teleporters serve as easy-access portals to Taborea.
Beyond the foundation
The higher the Guild Castle level, the better it will be equipped and the more numerous available features will be.Various additions to a Guild Castle can be built to increase a guild’s available resources. Additions include an academy, a forge, a library, a guard tower and stables. Like in real-time strategy games, new buildings are unlocked sequentially. For example, the forge is only available after an academy is added to a Guild Castle.
Additions provide guild members with special bonuses: Spending time studying in the library will partially reduce XP debt, and having stables will grant guild members with a temporary bonus for riding speed.
