With the May 18 release of Chapter III: The Elder Kingdoms, the miry wastes of the Southern Janost Forest open in the northwest region of Thunderhoof Hills. The new zone contains numerous new quests for adventurers level 57 and above.
The stifling air of the Southern Janost Forest hangs damp and heavy, and the swampy landscape is full of dangers. It is the home of the principality of Shador, a nation of forest-dwellers who have taken the art of the bow and arrow to new heights of perfection. The mother of the people of Shador, Jenny "The Thousand Feathers" Giant, was long ago a close ally of the venerable King Kalume. Over the centuries, the splendor of the race paled, and now her descendants campaign in the marshes cut through with rocky mountains against the brutal forces from the Warnorken Castle. The castle is the bastion of the barbarous Baron Reuen von Jura and the source of all evil in the Southern Janost Forest. However, brave adventurers — dispatched by Callaway, the child king — now gather in the swamps and seek to join the noble Shador people to defeat the evil.
First and foremost, players must win the trust of the shy forest folk. There are more than 100 new quests that relate to the history of the Southern Janost Forest and will give players much time to win the favor of the Shador.
