Trading is vital in Taborea, adventurers will realize this starting from the very first area.
Whether in a small village or a large city, trading takes place everywhere.
You can find many items in the shops of Taborea including weapons, armor, and arcane supplies in order to help keep you alive.
Specialists in alchemy, herbalism, forging and other professions offer their knowledge and materials so that one can be self-sufficient... and if nobody is in need of the items you create, you can also sell them to a trader.
The Auction House
Of course one doesn't have to travel around with bags of loot and crafted items looking for someone to sell them to. For a small fee, you can sell your goods through the auction house and of course take a look at what others have to offer.
This frees up much of your time so that you can jump directly into the next adventure.
Soul Bound
Of course, not all items can be traded.
Some equipment must be bound to ones "soul" in order to use.
Thus the item is bound to this player and can only be used by them.
Fortunately, the equipment in one Runes of Magic can be disassembled...
Color code: White, Green, Blue, Purple
Runes of Magic uses a very simple way to catalogue the different types of equipment. The color of the items' name says a lot about how valuable the item is.
- White: Equipment has no magical attributes.
- Green: Equipment is fairly common and has slight magical abilities.
- Blue: Equipment is rare and contains much more magical potential.
- Purple: Equipment is of epic in nature and is considered especially valuable.
Something unique
Some equipment is extremely rare and powerful and is referred to as "unique". Lucky adventurers can only possess items of this magnitude once, since one cannot handle more then one "unique" item.
