There’s reason for celebration since it was 4 years ago today on the 19^th of March 2009 that Gameforge (formerly Frogster) officially released Runes of Magic.

So now we’re looking back at four years of epic adventurers, constant expansions and a large and growing community who have made RoM what it is today: one of the most successful free-to-play MMORPGs!

Of course we would like to celebrate with you on such an auspicious occasion but first of all we’d like to give our praise to a selection of players and guilds who have accompanied us the whole way. Are you one of them? Find out on the 4^th Birthday of RoM page:! We thank you all and hope that we can join you on many more successful hunts.

Now onto the festivities which we have prepared for you:

In-Game:                            

Owenstein, Frank and Eva have decided to pay a visit to all the servers during the birthday week. And of course, they won’t be coming empty handed: Owenstein will give you 25 Badges of the Trial if you hand him 44 tin ore. Frank is prepared to give you 50 Golden Eggs and 16 Ancient Mementos if you ply him with 44 Willow Wood. Eva has thought of something very special for you. In return for 44 Beetroot, she’ll give you 444 Guild Runes, 44 guild rubies and 4 Guild Stones, which will help you improve your guild. These swaps with NPCs are limited to once a day per account. The NPCs can be found in the Hall of the Eye of Wisdom in Varanas as usual, on Channel 1.

You’ll also get 150% more TP and 100% more XP during the birthday week for killing monsters. An XP bonus will also be given upon completing quests. Just what you need to get you in the party mood and improve your character. And for those who aren’t so keen on honing their characters right now and would rather receive riches and treasure, the 150% higher drop rate will give you the opportunity you desire.

We’re celebrating – come and join us! Every day at 19:00 CET (11:00am PDT) we will be publishing a screenshot to our Facebook page . Your task is to tag yourself in it to show that you’re taking part in the festivities. However, only 50 people can tag themselves in each screenshot, so you’ve gotta be quick to get the chance to take part in our daily competition. Every day we will raffle off 5 Golden Ostrich pet eggs to those who tagged themselves on the screenshot! All participants must agree to the relevant participation regulations.
